President’s Corner June

Dear marketing community,

As my presidency at the American Marketing Association draws to a close, I find myself transformed by this journey. I am profoundly grateful for the opportunity to connect with a community of dedicated marketers who continuously strive to elevate our profession and work towards a future rich with opportunities for all.

Reflecting on our achievements, I step down with immense satisfaction. We hosted numerous high-profile events, including collaborations with the Miami Marlins, Florida Panthers, and the largest marketing network in Latin America, EXMA. These events provided our members with invaluable networking opportunities and featured world-renowned speakers such as Tom Brady, Romero Britto, Tom Bilyeu, and Vilma Nuñez at the EXMA Miami event. We were also privileged to hear from industry leaders like HTC’s Global VP Pearly Chen, Mastercard’s Global VP of Sponsorship Luis Araujo, Pedro Uribe from Microsoft, IBM, and Accenture, Luis Lepe from Telefonica Tech, Charly Maltagliatti from Meta, and Fernando Anzures, the founder of EXMA.

These experiences granted our members exceptional access to knowledge and opportunities for both personal and professional growth. I am proud to leave behind a thriving community of over 4,200 members in South Florida.

None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support and collaboration of the board, my team at Penta Marketing in Miami, and the entire AMA community. Your contributions have been invaluable.

To my esteemed colleague and incoming AMA president, María Llanso, I extend my best wishes for a successful tenure. María is a highly skilled professional, well-versed in marketing and attuned to our community’s needs. I am confident that the AMA SFL chapter is in excellent hands.

I welcome anyone who wishes to connect with me through social media:
